Poster Competition

Eligibility

The Nashville Hematology Conference invites Medical Residents, Hematology or Oncology Fellows and Junior Faculty within 2 years of initial appointment to enter our Nashville Heme Poster Competition! Applicants may submit an abstract relevant to a hematologic malignancy and if selected, will present winning posters during the Welcome Reception on Thursday, February 26th, 2026 in Nashville, TN.

Attending the conference does not require a poster submission and/or presentation. Physician Fellows & Residents may attend at a discounted registration rate.

Key Dates:

  • Abstract submissions are due by October 31, 2025
  • Winners will be notified by November 7, 2025
  • Nashville Hematology Conference in Nashville, TN: February 26-28, 2026

Abstract Submission Guidelines:

  • Abstract should be on the subject of hematologic malignancies  
  • Abstract should address scientific questions, detail clinical observations, or contain primary scientific data 
  • Abstract demonstrates originality and innovation 
  • Encores with updates are welcome 
  • Abstract is written clearly and concisely 
  • No Trials in Progress 
  • Abstract Body/Table: (please submit as an attachment to the submission email) 
    • Body of the abstract should include background, methods, results and conclusions 
    • Do not use proprietary drug names 
    • Submissions should not exceed 500 words. A table counts as 100 words 
    • One data table is allowed per submission 

Judging:

  • All submissions will be judged by the Nashville Heme Faculty who are established experts in the field. All submissions will be judged on scientific merit.
  • Winners will be notified by Conference Planning Committee
  • Winners will be asked to present their poster on Thursday, February 26th, 2026 during the Welcome Reception.
  • Each winner will receive complimentary registration, two (2) nights accommodation, and up to $500 toward airfare as an award.
